ALMONT PRE-SCHOOL

Come and join the Almont Preschool program for a great jump-start on kindergarten by learning colors, numbers, letters, and social skills.  If your child is four (4) by December 1, 2010, he or she may register for Almont’s Preschool program for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.  Your child will enjoy the Alphabet Letter People program, weekly early childhood themes, field trips, classroom parties, and parental involvement.  The program emphasizes social-emotional development, cognitive skills, language skills, and fine and gross motor development.  Miss Star has taught the preschool program for 14 years and has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood.

Almont has 2 preschool programs.  The first is called the Michigan School Readiness program; the second program is tuition-based.  Students must have at least 2 at-risk factors to qualify for the state funded (Michigan School Readiness) program.  All pre-schoolers are welcome to attend the tuition-based program, even if you live out of district.  Registration begins Thursday, March 11, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Orchard Primary during our Learning Fair.  Please bring your child's birth certificate and immunizations.  After this event, you may pick up an application at Orchard Primary.  If you have any questions, please call Star at (248)608-8467.
